Payroll Manager

We are hiring a permanent, Payroll Manager to look after a portfolio of weekly and monthly payrolls. The job will require the successful applicant to work independently to a variety of HMRC and client deadlines. 

The successful candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic and able to manage a portfolio of payroll schemes on their own.

The role will include:

  • Processing time sheets

  • Producing payslips, employer summaries and other documentation

  • Submitting RTIs and pension uploads

  • Liaising with clients and their employees

  • Notifying clients of their payments to HMRC

  • Liaising with HMRC to resolve any issues

  • Preparing various calculations - eg. starters, leavers, redundancy

  • Processing statutory payments such as SSP & SMP

  • Processing payroll year end - EPS's, P60s and P11Ds

Working hours are flexible, however they must fit around the needs of the business and deadlines with HMRC.

If there is additional capacity, you may be required to complete some bookkeeping. Additional hours could be available for applicants with the relevant accountancy experience.

A driving licence and own transport will be an advantage, as there is an occasional need to visit client premises
